Black, White, Grey… And Burgundy!

You probably already know how much I love Nubu (which is a Hungarian fashion label), as I have talked about their designs on my blog several times. In this article I’m introducing you their other line called Nude by Nubu. It’s mostly for young people, all the clothes are very practical and cool and the prices are more affordable. They have shops around Budapest, at Andrássy, Mom Park and Monofashion. I’ve partnered up with them to show you how I style Nude By Nubu in two outfit posts (the next one is coming soon as well). During winter most people stuck with the black/white/grey…

Noon

For quite a long time I’ve had a plan that I wanted to shoot on a sports field… Well, finally we had a chance to take pictures on a basketball court but it was the worst timing you can imagine. At 12am on a hot summer day, we were literally boiling on the sun but it was worth it! I just love the final result, I think this location perfectly suits the outfit. I was wearing a white denim dress which you might have seen on my Instagram earlier. I love this dress because it’s so comfortable, it’s not too short…

Vintage Chloé Pants

I love shopping vintage clothes because they are unique and outstanding. If you decide to go thrift shopping it’s great fun to look around, browse the supply and it’s such a fascinating feeling when you find something really really cool and stylish. In case you’re the lazy type of person who likes to shop online I recommend vintage webshops like We Are Cow. Although it’s not as cheap as a thrift shop/second hand shop but it’s easier because you don’t have to spend hours with chasing the good pieces, and they only offer good quality products. We Are Cow has many…

Eagle

Since I received this fabulous black vintage dress from We Are Cow I’ve been hunting the chance to wear it. On Friday I went to a costume house-party where everyone had to dress up as something creative so I thought this is the perfect opportunity. The Great Gatsby style is quite a popular and cliche solution but who cares, finally I could wear this beauty (with lots of golden jewellery). On Saturday after drawing lesson we went to take some outfit photos of this dress. I combined it with a light pink faux fur coat, ankle boots, a white bag…

Pink & Blue |#SISTERPOWER

Sister photoshoots are always fun, and I’ve been planning this one since we bought our New Balance shoes on sale around Christmas. Eszter chose a pair of crazy yellow and blue sneakers which remind me of the colors of Ikea and I got a more sporty pink one. In the latest package that I got from We Are Cow there were these two tops which are from the We Are Cow Collection (so they are not vintage), I love both of them! I thought it would look great if I paired them with our New Balance shoes. Eszter decided to wear a simple…

Mesh Sweater Sewn By Me | Hello, 2016!

For 2016 I don’t have too many resolutions because I just don’t really like this, I mean, usually I can’t keep them so it’s unnecessary to promise them. Of course I have plans and goals for the new year but those are not really written down, they are just in my head every day. I know that if I achieve them I’ll be a happier person and that is motivating enough. One of my ‘resolutions’ (or plans) is to sew more this year. I always have designs but I can get too lazy or I have no time to sit…

A Love Letter To… My Shirt

I’m obsessed with beautiful prints and that’s why I had fallen in love with this shirt for the first sight. I found it at River Island in Edinburgh and it wasn’t the best bargain (though I had a 25% off coupon) but I don’t regret buying it. Since then I have worn this shirt a million times because I just can’t get enough of it: the material is amazing, the tailoring is pefect and the prints are so pretty, there are no words that could describe it. Now, after writing a complete love letter to my shirt let’s just get back…

Leaving Tomorrow

I’m already done with packing for my trip to Scotland (hopefully I didn’t forget anything). I won’t be able to post any articles on the blog next week but you can follow my adventures on Instagram at @emmaistvanffy (if there will be WiFi access). :) Before leaving I wanted to share you these photos that we took a couple of days ago. I was wearing this gorgeous blouse from Beginning Boutique, it has a wonderful material and print! I got on a baby blue skirt with a ruffle, and a pair of high heeled sandals (I promise this is the last…

Flamingos & Surprising Jeans Choice

I guess I’m not the only one who prefers skinny jeans and would immediately say no for flare pants. Yeah, until now. I have always loved slim fit pants and then boyfriend jeans became popular – first I didn’t like them but then I bought a pair which was awesome – and this is how it all had started. This season’s most popular trends are gaucho pants and everything with wide-leg which I’m pretty sure not everybody will follow. I have seen some outfit posts and magazine photoshoots with these kind of pants (I particularly liked how The Man Repeller pulls off this…

Throwback To Grado | Goodbye Summer!

Today was the first day of school and the first day of autumn. I am not happy about it at all however this summer was the best summer of my life which makes the back to school season a bit less painful. By the way I’ll do some back-to-school posts (if it’s not too late) but first I would like to show you some more photos from Grado. This is my ‘Little White Dress’, I think it’s a gorgeous piece and it looks nice with sunkissed tan. I wore it with sandals and a small bag so nothing extra but…

The Denim Romper

Rompers are probably the most practical items – they are comfortable yet very chic. You can wear them at festivals (e.g. I wore this romper at Sziget Festival once), on casual days, at the cinema, or in a summer party so basically anytime. This denim piece is one of my favorite clothing items lately, I bought it at Springfield, it was a bargain. Scarves are also pretty practical, I love playing with them because there are so many opportunities. You can wear a scarf normally around your neck but you can also wear it as a top or a skirt, you…
